Sensor Networking
for Health
IoT mesh networks that transform clinical and care environments into intelligent, proactive spaces — detecting, alerting and predicting before incidents occur.
The intelligent
clinical environment
SNH deploys a low-power IoT mesh network throughout a ward, care home or hospital department. Bed-exit sensors, fall detectors, vital-sign patches, environmental monitors and location tags work in concert — feeding a real-time analytics platform that surfaces risk before it becomes harm.
The platform runs on ISO 13485 certified hardware from our technology partners and is certified to IEC 62304 for software as a medical device.
A sensor for every clinical need
Vital-Sign Patches
Continuous, wireless monitoring of heart rate, SpO₂, respiratory rate and skin temperature. Low-profile, single-use patches with 72-hour battery life — no wires, no disruption to patient care.
Fall Detection Sensors
Passive infrared and radar-based fall detectors that identify high-risk posture changes and actual falls within 300 milliseconds, triggering nurse call and location-aware alerts without camera or audio surveillance.
Environmental Monitoring
Room temperature, humidity, CO₂, VOC and noise level sensors. Critical for infection prevention and control — alerting when environmental parameters deviate from safe ranges.
Location & Asset Tracking
BLE and UWB-based real-time location services for patients at wandering risk, staff and high-value assets. Sub-metre accuracy using our mesh network infrastructure as the positioning backbone.
Bed Occupancy & Exit
Mattress pressure sensors and bed-exit mats detect patient movement, triggering nursing alerts for falls-risk patients. Integrates with nurse call systems via dry-contact relay or IP.
Predictive Analytics
On-premises ML models analyse multi-sensor streams to identify early warning signs of sepsis, delirium and acute deterioration — surfacing risk scores in the nursing dashboard and the EHR.
Up and running in
days, not months
SNH uses a mesh networking architecture: sensors self-organise and relay data through the mesh to gateway nodes, requiring minimal cabling. A typical 30-bed ward deployment takes two days and requires no major building works.
- Self-configuring BLE/Wi-Fi mesh — no structured cabling required
- Plug-and-play gateway appliances (single Ethernet port)
- Web-based dashboard — no client software installation
- Integrates with existing nurse call and EHR systems
- Fully managed device lifecycle — we handle firmware updates
